Design Technician

This full-time, permanent position will have a lead role in project design and preparing drawings for grading plans, utility plans, surveying projects and other mapping needs. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with department personnel, office staff and clients.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications: Engineering Technician degree or equivalent experience

Professional Engineer

This full-time, permanent position will develop, design, and manage projects for both private and public clients, as well as mentor staff. Attendance at client meetings will be required. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with department personnel, office staff and clients.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Minnesota Licensed P.E., Proficient computer skills including knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years experience, Experience managing Land Development or Public Infrastructure projects

Professional Land Surveyor

This full-time, permanent position will quote jobs, manage survey crews, and manage survey projects from beginning to end for both private and public clients. Primarily office based, occasional field work or attendance at client meetings will be required. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with department personnel, office staff and clients.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Minnesota Licensed P.L.S., Proficient computer skills including knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years experience, Experience managing survey crews

Survey Crew Technician

This full-time, permanent position will provide field surveying services for our engineering and land surveying projects, assisting the survey crew chief with all aspects of the project. This will include construction staking, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, mine surveying, and engineering related survey field work.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Excellent attitude, Clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications: Survey/Civil Technician degree or equivalent experience, FAA certified Drone Pilot

Survey Crew Technician – Mining Operations

This full-time, permanent position will provide surveying services to mine staff. This includes staking, monitoring water elevations and magnetic materials, drone flights, and other tasks as requested.

Required Qualifications: Clean/Valid Drivers License, Excellent Attitude, Willing to follow direction of supervisors

Preferred Qualifications: Survey/Civil Technician degree or equivalent experience, FAA certified Drone Pilot, MSHA
